Newfoundland scooner /twin towers

This is a pic I found online of a Newfoundland scooner called the” Scademia”
She was sailing from Newfoundland to the Caribbean and made a stop in New York, circa 1998 I believe
She used to operate as a charter boat out of stjohns harbour in the 90’s, this was the first sailboat I was ever on, I wonder where she ended up?

Until a few years ago she was still in St. John's, although largely not operational, and perennially "somewhat" for sale. Don't know about current status.

Nice article about a sail aboard her in this month’s Good Old Boat magazine.

Re: Newfoundland scooner /twin towers

My wife's uncle once described her as an old longliner with a couple telephone poles stuck in it. He worked on it for a short time while completing his certification as a master.
