Nicholson 48

A Nicholson 48 has popped up on my radar while in search of a live aboard cruiser. Would be interested to hear if anyone has had experience with the 48's?

Kieran,

Not the 48 but lots of ocean sailing on the larger Nic 55s which belonged to Joint Service Sailing Centre. Used hard for decades and whilst well maintained stood up to the task well. Tuff as old boots I think is a good description.

Deep keeled yachts, make sure you can live with this and the marina fees if keeping her on the UK South Coast.

Had friends who did a comfortable 21 year circumnavigation on one. It wasn't that the boat was that slow, just that they took their time. Small for its LOA, but if the style of boat appeals to you go for it.
