Noon Ocean 34

Looking at purchasing a Noon Ocean 34, mostly for coastal cruising but the odd blue water trip as well. I am new here so a little back gound. I am a fossil at 70 yrs. Have had some experience on a Sandpiper sailboat day tripping. I also skippered a 35 Prower aftcabin on Georgian Bay (great lakes). Will have to bone up on my Nav skills and will try an find a local skipper to mentor me for a while on my sailing skills. My home base is Squamish British Columbia a will be cruising the Pacific North West. Have heard conflicting stories about long keels as well as canoe sterns as far as handling an reversing. Is a cutter rig difficult to handle when single handling. Any comments or experiences with this vessel would be helpful.
Thanks in advance
