I was told the french can be quite annoying in that regard. Not my experience in the canals. But yeah, i guess it will depend on who i happen to met and in which circumstances
Well things changed somewhat on 1 Jan this year. However, assuming you have a passport from a European country you can visit and will be welcome with few problems.

You might make sure the yacht is registered in your name and you have an insurance policy for it.

Boat is registered on my name in germany and i have third party insurance (i always insure my boats just in case i break someone elses boat. Its quite cheap, like 60€ a year).

I have argentinean passport, and residence permit for germany. Visited UK before without issues. But not by boat. And not since brexit.

I guess we will discover soon how it is...

You're a funny guy, I'd be happy to have you anchor near me. I've no daughter, so no risk there!

Diesels are very simple, pretty much all they need is good fuel, and if it won't run it is almost certainly a fuel issue.

Change all the engine fluids and filters, bleed the fuel lines of air bubbles and I bet it starts right up. Good luck.

I will service the motor like you suggest. Been watching a couple videos on the matter. Little bit more confident now, that i know the theory.

And i will probably throw away the 4 year old diesel fuel the boat came with (100 liters in 5x20L canisters😭😭&#128557. Cause it is probably not good anymore.

I do have two (daughters), but the mother wont let them climb on my boats.

Not that my boats aint safe. Its just that she is a little over-protective.

Not of me of course, she couldnt care less. But of her girls, that is🤔😂
