Or a Meldge, or a Jboat, or a Farier trimaran. In fact there are a lot of high performance sailboats that would change your perception. And even a regular run of the mill Jeanneau with some wind might surprise you...

If you want performance try an Outremer Catamaran. Easily handled by two people. Running 8-12 knots in 15 of wind depending on angle.
