Perry 47 Cutter

Hello

This is my first post and am looking into buying this 47 cutter. This is a sail boat from 1978. Looks ok from the outside and appears to be in good order.
A few questions for the fellow members.
1) Any issues with the Ford Lehman engine - its more than 30 years old
2) typical issues with this sort of boat when cruising
3) any general info on this boat

You may find some answers to your questions there, particularly relating to your last question.

Your first question re. Lehman engine: I found them good reliable engines, running at low revs, using relatively little fuel, easy to work on, and the last time I worked on one (8-10 years ago), spares were still available. If well maintained, should be still OK.

This one has been on the market for at least 12 months, maybe nearly 2 years, and the asking price has dropped from near to $200k to the new price.

The boat I am looking is located in Malaysia, been cruising it around this part of the world. boat is from the US.

Re sending PM (private message): click on the poster's name, and then click on the 2nd item in that menu, then take it from there.
