Please help identify doohickeys

Hello,
I’m slowly going through my Aloha 32, learning all the systems, and I found these things that I can’t identify. They are located in a port side cabinet in the cabin. Any help identifying these will be helpful. Thanks.

Those are 12v outlets. Look around the boat for things that plug into them.

Of course it is. That makes so much sense. Thanks for the help.

Or follow the wires back to the switchboard panel--it may be labeled. Fwiw, we have a similar socket that we use to power one of our cockpit anchor lights.

It's for something 12 v., not very high draw, that was convenient to be located there....maybe a hand vacuum cleaner?

Re: Please help identify doohickeys

The top one is a 2-prong, rather than circular stick-in, socket/supply-end sometimes used in spotlights, long ago (well, I've not seen any with that power end in many years).

The other is curious, as it's got something sticking into it, which has overtones of home-made, but it could well be a standard cigarette-lighter socket.

If so, there will be a contact at the bottom, and either strips of metal making the ground, or a cylinder with the power bottom isolated electrically...

I think that's just a safety cap to keep you from sticking your tongue into it.
