Raymarine 12180 Wheel drive

I went to the boat eralier this year and the AP wheel drive was locked up. No power and clutch made no differencel. I figured i might have a couple muddobbers in the guts and didnt bother to clear it,,,Wento out later after a storm and found pieces off the front plate on the deck.

to the point: my wheel unit is a E12180 tied to a St4000 AP. having problems finding that model # and is an E12093 a direct replacement?

The black MarkI wheel drive has not been made for 20 years or so, the gray MarkII is the only new drive available to replace it. The electronics are direct replacement however the diameter of the wheel drive is a little larger for the gray MKII. This sometimes necessitates using a different mounting position for some boats where pedestals may interfere.
