Re-bedding Man Ship Stailess Ports

I have a Sabre 402 that is slowly developing leakage through the well build Man Ship ports. I need to remove, clean, and re-bed the units but cannot find any information on removing them. I do not want to damage anything so I'm reaching out for advice. Any help would be appreciated.

Don’t know the detail of your port

The classic removal tool for bedded hardware is a cheese cutter

Carefully lift an edge . Small thin wood wedge

Slip the cheese cutters string or wire into the lifted joint

Then saw back and forth to cut the bedding around the fitting . Keep the thin wood wedge handy to prevent the joint from pinching your cutter

A cheese cutter is two handles ... wood dowels or other ... with a length of string or wire between them

It’s a saw

Strong synthetic string is better for delicate hardware

Thin wire ,,, like a guitar string ...works very well also

Thank you Slug,
I was looking for more detailed removal steps for this specific product. I do appreciate your input as that was also helpful.

ocilating saw like a fein tool with a SCRAPER blade not a saw blade will work wonders in loosening and removing old hardware

Has anyone rebedded the glass(?) glazing, in the stainless steel portlite. They look like maybe they're two-piece, pressed together with the glazing between. and perhaps a preformed sealant

Good quality butyl tape like marinehowto.com has his own formula that is hard to beat. He explains how to bed things very well.

Thank you Alan! Extremely helpful advise. You certainly did do your diligence with the Butyl!
