Replace Volvo MD2030D with Perkins M30

My Volvo Penta MD2030D has died and I am having trouble finding a replacement. I have seen many people saying the Perkins M30 is the exact same motor but I want to be certain it would work with my Volvo MS25S saildrive.

Does anyone know if there's any issues with using the Perkins M30 with the Volvo MS25S?

The main differences are from the flywheel housing back. Since you have the 2030, yours should swap onto the Perkins.

Probably necessary to change the F/W hsg (don't forget the isolation bushings), the flywheel, the drive coupling (between the engine and transmission), the rear F/W cover/transmission mounting plate/rear motor mount.

Maybe the alternator too, going from memory here.
