Requirements: Does the boat exist?

I am "casually" shopping for a monohull and am drawn to Beneteaus/Jeanneaus, aft cockpit models in the 40 - 45ish range, probably early 2000 vintage, but here's the challenge (besides budget). I have only 5-feet of water at my dock (inner banks of N. Carolina). Any suggestions on what models would fill the bill?

A Yachtworld boat search would probably get you the quickest answers to that question.

Re: Requirements: Does the boat exist?

Of course, it exists.

I do not think Beneteau have something. Even shoal draft would be too deep.

Older Jeanneau in centerboarders versions like Sun Legend, Sun Kiss might fit. They should be around 5 ft centerboard up.

And best Kirie Feeling 416 DI or Feeling 44 DI. (DI in french stands for Dériveur Integral = Full centerboarder). Less than 3 ft draft.

But be quick on the ad and have a thick wallet...

Both already sold :

Oceanis 40 has a shoal draft of only 5’-1”. So it really depends more on the exact depth at your dock and approach.

Can you have your dock area dredged? Is the dock your only option?
