Rigging Diagram for Samson C-Deuce ?

Hi all, I am looking for some standing rigging suggestions for a Ferro hulled Samson C-Deuce. The boat has never been in the water and we have just finished the hull and are close to launching, but we are unsure what size wire we should be using. The rig is completely bare right now and I feel that it would almost be beneficial to hire a professional rigger to come out and tell me what I need. Any suggestions? Any contacts that i should know about? Thanks for all your help.

Hi Sailerkid,
Before rerigging my Ingrid I took Brian Toss's rigging class. He explained rig design to some degree and goes into it in more detail in his book- "The Rigger's Apprentice". The basic design criteria starts with righting moment at 30 degrees (at least as it was explained to me). The force to heel your boat to this point is easy to calculate and gives you the starting point for load calculations. Of course the other way to go about it is to find a sister ship that is out there sailing...
Good luck!
John

Hey, thanks John, I will look into that book. Brian Toss? Is that an online deal or is that something local that you did? I wish I could find an owner of a sister ship who would be willing to share with me their diagram. Thanks so much for your time. Anyone else??

Plans should be available here:

I believe you may be able to order a set of rigging plans for your C-deuce from this company.

www.hartley-boats.com

jsimpson has the rest of the Samson plans that are not available from the site above.

www.simpsonmarinedesign.com/

I have neither financial or commercial interests in either company.
