Sailors in Laguna Beach Area

I'm going to be making my first trtip to california the last week in march And I would really like to meet up with some other sailors and maybe if the opportunity arises do a little sailing while I'm there. can anyone tell me if the Alberg 30 is a common boat to see in that area?

I travel between Mississippi and California and have a boat in Marina del Rey... If I'm in Cali in March, I'll let you know, and we can head out for a quick spin.... Don't see many Albergs in that area... 30' boat of convenience out there is the Catalina 30.... I think they produced at least 3 million judging by the number around...
