Wow, do still builders use concrete ballasts? With 2.4t/m3 that almost floats, I was thinking about getting lead instead of the usual iron (more for corrosion reasons than racing performance though)...

Getting old, this Jedi is... I don't know if they still do this, but I sailed one with concrete ballast for 17 years

Island Packet was the only one that I know of who recently used concrete in their keels.
