yes ship it. If you are thinking of doing it this year someone needs to be looking at your boat pretty soon to get ready for the trip
That's about 6000 miles. so even with a crew of 2 you are looking at $15000 minimum for that alone plus expenses to get that boat ready for the trip, plus failures along the way.Once home you will be on the hook for paying VAT on the boat. Another option is to sell the boat in the chesapeake and buy in the med with a boat that has the vat paid

Also, unless your boat has been recently repowered, you are going to have a difficult time legally importing it due to EU environmental regulations regarding diesel engines in boats.
