Wife and I are back home with no sailboat. I cancelled purchase of hunter 380.
Lokking for good boat 36 ft range with furling main. 5ft draft to be used West Florida etc. Not too old but maybe 1999 or newer with stern scoop dingy access. Can’t be a project boat. No VP. Which makes models! We liked the Hunter 380 and the Bene 361 but not the Bene 373. Cat 350 MkII is out. Looking about 72k asking and negotiate base on condition and how outfitted. Anywhere eastern seaboard or gulf.

My suggestion for a monohull: Freedom 35 or Freedom 40, both cat ketches. Easy sailplane, big nice cockpits, nice interiors. Easy to move around the boat. And - good motion comfort, which probably is the most important factor with age. Also, free standing masts, so not lots of rigging parts that can fail. No stern scoop dinghy access, but I can not see the advantage in that.

Otherwise, maybe a cat would be a good option.
