You are most likely fitting an Imperial zinc onto a metric shaft. Measure your shaft with a vernier to check. If it is a metric shaft, you may find the prop fastenings are also metric. This is just a guess on my side. When fitting shaft anodes and they are as tight as you can make them, put a blob of sealant into the holes of the fastenings to prevent the zinc being eaten away directly under the bolt and nut heads or else, after a time in the water, the anodes will loosen and give you a bad vibration when under power as they will then spin on the shaft.

Re: SV Emoyeni

Here’s another update. After prepping it like crazy I have applied the first coat of primer for the top sides. I thinned the Epifanes polyurethane paint and applied with a roller and didn’t tip, it thinking that this wasn’t needed with the primer. I am a little unhappy with how much orange peel I’m getting. I will try tipping on the second coat of primer.

Re: SV Emoyeni

If your boat is going to be used in fresh water then a Zinc anode is not going to work. It should be magnesium or aluminum. Didn't see that addressed in earlier posts. Sorry if this a repeat.
