Teak Winch Pads?

I need to mount an external Dickinson chimney on the deck of my Cal 39 MkII, as well as a hot water heater vent. I am looking to mount these on top of two large (7" to 8") teak winch pads. Any idea on where I can source teak winch pads? Obvious local places are all out of stock. Thanks in advance.

Re: Teak Winch Pads?

You make the pads yourself. Since you are in Seattle, go here:

Crosscut Hardwoods in Seattle - Crosscut Hardwoods in Seattle Washington

Those guys will sell you the teak stock to make them from - provided you have the bux for teak, of course :-)!

Cheers

Re: Teak Winch Pads?

I have the bux for teak... just not the woodworking tools to make this to shape, with a 15 degrees cant. But I found a group in Pt Townsend who can make then for me, and also ordered a pair on Amazon. The Amazon pair, however, will be glued and splined and likely not as sturdy as a solid piece, so will go with the custom made hardwood if not an arm and a leg in price.
