Thoughts on a Watkins 36

Interested in folks' thoughts on a Watkins 36. Doesn't seem to be a whole lot of information out there, at least on this size Watkins. This would be serving as a blue water cruiser for us. Thanks in advance.

I have a Watkins 27 and can say it is the best boat of it's size I have been on as far as size of living area and head room, there are a lot of heavy constructed things about this boat that I can recommend, the first thing was that the keel is incorporated into the hull ( reef keel) so never a keel issue rigging is heavy and there is no rot issues I can find on the boat. It is not a fast sail with a 10 ft beam on it but it's great for what I want. There is a Watkins owners site and you can find everything about the boat there. Mine was built in 1980 and I wouldn't be afraid to take it most anywhere. Someday I'll be looking for the next step up but for now this has been a great lil cruiser and you can find them very reasonable. Good to have it professionally surveyed to make sure it hasn't been hurt in a hurricane or something.. Happy hunting!
