Indeed, two years ago I spent a week sailing in company with a friend with a Westerly Longbow (Fin keel). We were both single handed and both boats in a similar condition with newish Genoas. However, I seemed to have at least 1/2 knot speed advantage which meant slowing down every so often so he could catch up.

In a blind fold test I think you would be pushed to tell the difference.
