Universal 25XP Transmission

I couldn't engage the forward gear after stopping for fuel which the engine warm. Reverse worked normally. When the engine is cold, the transmission shifts normally. I changed the guild 3 times 2 weeks ago. Any input ?

If you remove the cable, and manually move the on-transmission level to forward, what happens?


Which transmission?


Condition and age of fluid?


I can tell you the ZF15MA transmission on the Universal M35BC is "very sensitive". I change transmission fluid at every engine oil change interval.

Is the fluid overfilled?

Did you use atf or 30 weight oil?

Either way, it’s not uncommon for the clutches on these gears to just wear to the point that they won’t engage anymore.
