Read carefully. Those who are saying welding is fine actually have some welding experience. Those who say don’t weld don’t and are speculating about potential weakness. Even so, I don’t see any expert responses in either camp, although there are some first-hand accounts of success with welding.

I have no opinion one way or the other because I’m not a metallurgist and have not read anything by one on the topic.

Sounds like a testing project for Thinwater.
