It still beats a day or week ashore!!! I rode out a hurricane in the middle 80's between Grand Cayman and Belize in a 32 and as amazing as it sounds - if you did not go on deck you almost would have never known how bad it was.

Absolutely. Will take some Picts next time I see her. Don't get me wrong, this fix doesn't make the cockpit impervious to water in all conditions but it is very helpful and prevents a lot of water from rushing back and soaking everyone. We have had water enter the cockpit but never enough to make it into the footwell as it drained out the scupper in the teak block before it could get very far.

If you are still willing I would appreciate pics of this arrangement also.

Hey guys. After digging around in our storage we found some boards that looked suspiciously like the "drop boards" that have been discussed.




I will get some better photos for everyone soon.
