Re: 1997 45 FOOT LEOPARD CATAMARAN

I checked the boat thoroughly.(Coincidentally, this was the very first Leopard catamaran ever built by Robertson and Caine, launched in March 1997). I was on board with a very reputable contractor from Ft Lauderdale.

It needs new sails, new canvas, props, re-bedding of the keels, new props, selected standing and running rigging, new windows (one of the side windows was free standing in its frame and could be taken out by hand!)
Cracked bows, deep dents under port exhaust, fibre glass work on both cracked sterns, head liners replacement and / or thorough cleaning all around, bleach stains in salon floor. All this was without proving the (original 1997) electronics, no power on any of the batteries, so not being able to check any pumps or systems.

Knowing what I know about Leopard catamarans and their value, I don't think that this cat is worth $140k in its current condition.

That said, I do hope the new owner will enjoy the boat, and I hope he has $XX,000 available for a good refit.

I was wondering how to deal with semi full holding tanks that have dried up and gone solid. Thank you for the information. It adds to my long ongoing education.
