3Di endurance for cruising

Is anybody using North 3Di endurance for cruising with occaisional racing?
I’m replacing my main and jib on a 48ft daggerboard cat. Currently have spectra triradial- very heavy, decent shape for 15 year old sails, but failing gracefully.
Would greatly appreciate any real world experience with 3Di, longevity, ease of care, resistance to being flaked in a stack pax, tropical climate use, ease of repair? Please hold your comments regarding your dislike of “Big Blue”.
Cheers

From what I understand, it would be a good idea to hold off on the 3Di Endurance or Nordac, and see what is soon to be released for multihulls from Norths.

I don't know about the 3di endurance, but I know a race boat with a 7 year old 3di main that still looks new.

I would absolutely buy 3di for a cruising boat if the budget allows.

Re: 3Di endurance for cruising

I've heard from a reliable source that Norths 3Di program of R&D is very active, and 3Di Nordac is not the end point. So for larger multihulls there are interesting products in testing phase now.

Re: 3Di endurance for cruising

We just purchased 3di Endurance for our 45 ft monohull.
No experience yet. From North - it was stated that this is the lightest, strongest and most form stable cloth on the mkt today. (hench Endurance I guess).

I just visited North's website, looks like you have great sails ! Can you tell how much you paid for those ?

Re: 3Di endurance for cruising

With discounts - abt usd 34.000
this was for main and for jib.
Pretty expensive stuff, but if they are light enough... they could be literally worth their weight in gold...
