Any Fortuna Island Spirit Owners out There?

I'd like to get in contact with Island Spirit owners and look into forming an owners group for all the usual reasons.

Greetings CPO. Have had Second Honeymoon for a year now and we are looking for an owner's group too. We have a 2006 401 and you know where we're moored!

Re: Any Fortuna Island Spirit owners out there?

Hi Steve and you know where I'm moored! I guess we could start an owners group. Doesn't look like there were many takers so far. Do you have any idea of how many Island Spirits were sold?

Anyone else out there want to chime in?

What's your hull number? Our 2006 is 107 and assuming they started at 001 at least that many. Our understanding is the company didn't produce them after 2007 after one of the owners died.

Many boat manufacturers start their model numbers at 100, so you may be boat #7.

Re: Any Fortuna Island Spirit owners out there?

From what I have been able to find out, mine was the first hull built (1995) and used to create the molds. My hull is solid wood (cedar strip I think) encased in fiberglass. So far in my research, I've found one other 35, one 36 and a couple of 37's before the 40 was produced. Mine is also the only one with galley down.

You must own Hanalei Moon. Nice boat and yes cedar strip plank construction.

Yes, that's correct. Ex-Hanalei Moon, now Cacique. Her first name was Sea Fan. Do you have any further information about my boat or Island Spirits in general?

CPO,

I am the one who has set up all these multihull owners groups on the CF.
This is how the better ones are setup in the links below.

It takes a lot of work on my end, which is not a problem,
but you need a dedicated Fortuna Island Spirit owner to add the pictures and info.

I think they made quite a few of the 37's, because these were in charter fleets for several years before the 40.
