best quality / price ratio

In your opinion which is the catamaran (in the 40-45 foot range) with the best quality / price ratio?

Define quality. Performance, comfort, build, ect. There are many trade offs, give up a to get b, or spend the money to get a,b and c.
Myself, lagoon 42 too is the best quality to price. As long as the hull is sound.
There are many who would disagree.

I mean build / price, I think that performance and comfort are easier to understand even without knowing the construction in depth

Lagoon seems to have the best resale. So few Cats here they are more window shopping. I love the Barvaria Nutitech 40 open. And Hanse Privilege 510. Don’t know if Hanse is making a smaller boat than the 510 but I love her lines.

Re: best quality / price ratio

If you just mean buit quality vs. price excluding the performance, comfort, volume, etc. they are all about the same. Otherwise they wouldn't be on the market very long. The defining factor would be other features of the boat. Outremer, Catana etc are well made boats quality wise but they are significantly more expensive than similar size other brands because they perform much better. Lagoon and FP are about the same price range, one is offering a bit more volume the other a bit more performance.

Cheers

Re: best quality / price ratio

The best quality to price ratio is of course a used boat, specifically an older one that's been recently refit with all the gear by the previous owner, then left in a far off place...

.... and among the best that fit all the above qualifications is a 1990's Privilege with recent refit.
