C&C motor sailer cats

Anyone got any experience or comments on these catamarans? Built in the 80's. I know of a 41ft and 50ft model. Sold as either a motor-sailor or as power only, but the same hulls.

I was actually selling supplies (recycled acetone) to 3 of C&C's production plants in '83 and didnt know they were producing cat's! I like the layout for my needs but I wanted to know what their sailing reputation was like before I proceeded. Unfortunately it sold last week, but I am curious to know more in the hope that I might find another for sale.
