catamaran bow netting

Any recommendations/suggestions for purchasing UV resistant bow netting for a catamaran?

These guys have made great nets for both my PDQ and a Mystere beach cat. Very professional.

Hi Robert - I endorse the recommendation to consider Sunrise Yacht Products (multihullnets.com). After much research and discussion with other Catana owners, I recently ordered a new, pre-coated polyester net from them choosing NOT to install an in-hand nylon OEM (Ribolla) net and coating it myself for UV. Call them or go to their site and order a sample pack to help your decision.

Fair winds,
Dave

After using many different nets we have started to produce out own netting made from Dyneema , almost no stretch over 80 % open and comfortable enough to walk (barefoot) or sleep on it is UV stable and is lighter than water
1 squire meter only weights 330 gramm so the total trampoline of a Moorings 40 should weigh no more than 4 / 5 kilo,s or 10 LBS

we now also install nylon sliders with a stainless steel insert that are unbreakable since the nylon black sliders always break after 2 or 3 years

Dyneema nets are a very high quality feature.
Dyneema & Spectra are both Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE), also known as High Modulus Polyethylene (HMPE) products with extraordinary strength/weight properties, low elongation, UV,chemical & water resistance (breaking strength remains constant wet or dry).

Call and ask for Steve Patterson. They weave Dyneema as well as other material in a knotless configuration. If you are anywhere near Seattle you should go see the machine that does the weaving, it is a mind blower.

They have got very good quality netting at Net Systems , for us the mesh size of 28 mm is just to big to be comfortable we use 10 mmm or 3/8 of an inch so one can sleep on it walk on it etc.
