She is currently under contract. According to the broker in FL, FL I spoke with right before the post. He has my information if they back out, but he was a bit dismissive - which leads me to believe he thinks it's going to sell.

It did move fast. The broker literally said "You have to be standing in the right place, at the right time, with cash."

Which is fine, because from what he said - this may have been a bit of a project. Either way, I really appreciate you bringing it to the attention of everyone here. That was super cool, thanks!

If they already did the 70k repairs/upgrades then it could be quite the deal. Maybe that was all the 2010, 2011, and 2013 stuff listed in the ad.

If that boat needs 70-100k its not much of a deal. That boat in bristol would be lucky to bring 175. Probably less. Its really wide and has a lower than avg bridgedeck, therez a much newer voyage 45 in the bvi for right at 200.

Sorry I wasn't clear. When I called this morning the broker was clear that it needed quite a bit of work. He said something to the tune of "all the systems need work."

$70K was the number thrown out to get it to the state that I needed it to circumnavigate. I don't think it's a great deal, though it's probably a great project. I like how wide it is, but if you look at the pictures - she's a little low to the water.

"Its really wide and has a lower than avg bridgedeck"

And to be fair, it only needed that much $ dumped into it if it was taking off on a multi-year circumnavigation. Coastal cruising, even between (relatively civilized countries) could make it infinitely more affordable to fit out.

I just spoke with the current owner of this boat and he estimates it needs about 10 sheets of plywood replaced between a hull repair and some deck repair. Apparently, the previous owner hit a bridge, the port hull was damaged and the repair job wasn't so good.
Is there anyone that lives close to Cocoa, that might be able to go take a look at it and make an assessment as to whether it's worth the effort/expense?

If anyone were to be seriously interested in the cat in Cocoa, I could go inspect it for them for a reasonable price. Certainly looks to be a woods or similar design.

cheers,
Jeff

Look closer. That Wharram is missing part of its bottom. Needs TLC is an understatement.
