I own a Lagoon 42 and this past fall had the bottom bead-blasted, 2 barrier coats, 1 signal coat, and two coats of bottom paint applied for slightly less than $10K at a yard that has a reputation for quality work at top-end prices.

I think $20K is definitely on the high side. Although your boat is bigger, an extra $10K seems excessive.
