Re: Cross Trimarans

I suspect the black mast is a mizzen. Lots of Cross tris went with split rigs to reduce the powerful stresses on pre-epoxy and composites in the sixties and seventies. I've spent a lot of time on them. And Norm Cross spent many weekends side tied to my Searunner 40, as we drank wine and told tall tales, in Glorietta Bay.

Re: Cross Trimarans

The Beginning of something! 1985 34 Norman cross MK1. Refit starting soon. It has a few issues, but a solid boat. Triple cold molded mahogany fully wrapped in fiberglass. It was an inboard boat at one time, converted to an outboard.

Re: Cross Trimarans

Great find! Kept light those are a fast cruiser, essentially a stretched 31 with more beam and sail area.
