Dean 36 chinook

Any comments about this as a blue-water boat? I can't seem to find any info or reviews about this model.

Thanks

This is the only Chinook I know. I had a friend with a fiberglass one who raved about it. I didn't sail with him before he sailed back to California unfortunately but I heard they sail well.

Re: Dean 36 chinook

That looks more like a Dean Aero to me, but then I've been proved wrong many times.

Dean have built lots and lots of catamarans, some good, some bad, some really bad. The nice thing about them is that you get a lot of bang for your buck. They are generally a little on the heavy side for a cat, but then you could argue that they are strong.

Three words spring to mind: survey, survey, survey.
