Diesel fuel additive

Thinking of adding some additive to prevent algae growth, whilst I haven't experienced any issues I am concerned I may. Any fellow cat owners add additives to there fuel tanks.
Regards Peter

Re: Diesel fuel additive

If you use a biocides the bug can get resistance to it.
Recommend the use of soltron which an enzyme
base product.
I think startron also have one.

Re: Diesel fuel additive

I can't remember the algaecide I use, but it's occasional. More frequently the tanks get a shot of SeaFoam

Re: Diesel fuel additive

We had a real problem with one of out tanks and had to get it pumped out and cleaned in Dubrovnik Croatia. The Jeanneau dealer/boat yard there suggested we use Wurth Diesel Sabiliser. It appears to be doing the job for us.

Not sure you can get it in the USA or not.
