Dolphin vs Catana

Does anyone know how these two cats compare in performance?

I recommend you contact the Multihull Company. Catamarans for Sale They are dealers for both and they would probably give you a good comparison. I suspect Dolphins are slightly faster although the Catanas have nicer interiors. You can get specs on both there. Dolphins are more affordable and I want a Dolphin 600. Come on Lotto. BOB

I would think a lot would depend on the year of the Catana. The older ones were lighter and better performers than the newer.

Most Catanas offer mid-way performance. Decent cruising boats and no pigs.

The problem is there are lots of Catanas and so few Dolphins so very few have had an oppurtunity to compare them. I've only seen Dolphins in media. I PM you check your messages. BOB

Both good boats. Dolphin a bit faster if it's not too loaded down. IMO the Dolphin interior is too small and cramped, and not enough storage room for family of 4 offshore. I looked at both and chose the Catana. We cruise at 8-12 knots boat speed which is fine for us. Very happy with my choice.
