Frames for Additional Solar over Tender... What did you use?

I'm looking at adding on additional solar, and potentially some wind generation - and I'm curious what others have used for frame kits? Are there some reputable manufactures of kits, or are most done custom?

Thanks in advance!

I think most are custom or DIY as ours was.

There is a huge thread here if you interested, see you back in a month:

There is a US firm which sell arches in a box. They started with T top frames and expanded into solar arches. Sorry can't remember the business name, but they do export to Europe, so Canada shouldn't be a problem.

We used tower in a box (Atlantic Towers). I’m not sure I would use them again. We did have one problem with the davit system cracking and breaking which they warrantied and replaced. It’s an OK tower but if I was to do it again I’d probably have a custom made one.

The current custom price in southern UK is £4500 - 6000, though in fairness, the cost of stainless steel has rocketed this side of the pond recently.

Bolt-together stock aluminium extrusion frame mounted to the davits. Frame pivots at aft end.

For an arch done cleverly, there is a guy called ‘Zonker’ at the Sailing Anarchy fora, who built a lightweight arch out of a fibreglass ladder and carbon windsurfing masts. I believe he circumnavigated with it
