Of all the furls on the market is there some form of opinion about which make is the best in terms of reliability and trouble free use?

Reliability? Stand on your coach house flake the unused sail on top of the boom, then run reefing lines through the grommets, and use reef knots to tie the mess in place. Some kind of outhaul on the new clue would be beneficial.
