Re: Good sources*for catamarans for sale.

We have a boat under contract! A boat we looked at a month or so back actually that was under contract has come back around. It is pretty much what we want.
Thank You for all the input and suggestions.

Secret is tell as many friends as you have what boat you are search.
I got my Lavezzi before any ad got even online because the moment the owner put a for sale sign on the cat that moment a friend of mine walk by. He was on holiday in Mallorca and was on the way to their rental boat. He stopped asked the owner some question, gave me a call and 5min later i done a walk through via whatsup with him and the owner. Another 20min we agreed, made a short pre-contract and i transfered 5000Euro as pre-payment pending survey. 1 day later the add got online and the owner had 15 offers 25k above the asking price buying sight unseen in 1h after the add went online. 2 weeks later i spent 4 nights prior survey at the cat i wanna buy and could check out everything myself. Owner told me he felt very confident with me, i knew exactly what i wanted and checked quickly the most important things and then didn't beat around the bush, put pre payment down and my surveyor was also very oleasent to set up and organize the survey.

You have to know what you want and if the right opportunity comes be very quick and straight forward, take calculated risk and make it as painless as possible for the seller. Pending survey means if stuff comes up you get out of it. If the add would have been online i wouldn't have any chance to get it. Asking price was already slightly above my budget limit but 2 complete new engines+Saildrives+everything in both engine rooms brand new allowed me to do that.

Did you actually purchase a boat using their brokerage?
