Hatch Leak Engine Compartment

I have a Lagoon 450. I believe I need to replace the gasket/weatherstripping on my port engine hatch. Has anyone done this, and if so, do you have a reasonably priced source for the replacement? I'm assuming I can get it from Lagoon.... But that will be super expensive.

There are quite a few sources online; just start googling and have a photo or two of the cross section and shape (use an end) of your original. Easy to replace; often self-adhering.

Re: Hatch Leak Engine Compartment

image search for "hatch tape" and "neoprene hatch tape" and "marine hatch seals" to see if something matches.

Re: Hatch Leak Engine Compartment

When we replaced the "compartment seals" (good search phrase) on our trimaran, I used https://www.trimlok.com/rubber-extrusion/trim-seal to determine which design I needed and then ultimately found the seals somewhere cheaper (Amazon, etc....). Here's another good reference (using RV sources often saves $): https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f...eal-46039.html

I get all my seals from Faucher, RDI industries in Canada.
