Khia Inlet, Towamba River across from Eden, NSW,

Couple of people have asked me about the mooring in the Towamba River, Khia Inlet across the bay from Eden,

I thought I had put GPS piccys up, But appears I havent,
So here they are and the GPS location,

The entrance is 4 feet deep at the entrance at low tide,
The sand bar on the right, on the way in, Moves constantly with the floods and tides going in and out,
On the left is a steep hill, With a shoal that comes out about 50 metres at the base,
The green shaded bit on the GPS.

Once past the shoal and the sand bar on the right hand side,
Turn right and go up the river near the sand bar side,

About 100 metres from the whaling station is where I anchored, It has a good holding sandy bottom,

It gets very shallow on the treed side of the inlet,
Dont go past the rocks on the south side, Treed side, 150 metres up the river, as it gets extremely shallow,

Near the whaling station its 17 feet deep, But changes depth with the floods coming down when it rains,

I have moored on the beach 75 metres to the right of the whaling station,
There are steps up to the house on top of the hill, Its a Museum, But is closed,

Its a very sheltered spot with no wind and no waves as its protected by the sand bar,
