Miami Boat Show Time Again

Yep, it's that time again. I'll be working the Seawind booth with three new Seawinds, one being introduced to the US market, the 1260. Stop by and say "hi", would love to put faces to names. It'll be curious to see how the new venue at Marine Stadium works out...

Three? Seawinds. An 1160 Lite, the new 1260, and what is the third?

Re: Miami Boat Show Time Again

We are in Deerfield Beach now and thinking about going to the boat show this weekend.

Does anybody know if the weekends are total zoos?

We did Annapolis a couple of years ago on a weekday and it wasn't bad at all.

I will be there on Satuuday. I will stop by the Seawind display. My wife loves them.

This is the first time in years that it will be at the Marine Stadium. I am clueless as to what parking will be like. We are going early, and playing it by ear.

It was crazy packed yesterday, and parking was a big problem. Park far away and take a shuttle.

Thank you. We've decided to

brave the crowds and go tomorrow morning.

We went today and got there when it opened. We parked at the AA Arena and took their shuttle bus to the entrance, which took about 25 minutes.

We also had pre paid for our parking and tickets. Getting there early was key as far as crowds were concerned. It was MUCH more crowded when we left mid afternoon.

What was also nice about getting there early was that we had virtually no wait getting on the cats we came to see.

All in all an enjoyable and informative day.

Re: Miami Boat Show Time Again

Today didn't seem too crowded. Able to get on all the boats we wanted. Got to arena parking lot at 9:30; caught the shuttle, and was in the venue by 10 am.

Going back tomorrow. Will get JT's autograph! Plus I have a few questions about my pickled Spectra.

I probably will be a bit late to the start of the show Monday and should be there around 11am. But see, what just a simple nice comment can do...When you get to the gate sailjumanji, just give me a call and I'll come out with a couple of tickets to get into the show.

Best Regards

Re: Miami Boat Show Time Again

I appreciate it, really. I'd do the nice comments anyway, because of all of the advice and guidance you've provided on commissioning my Spectra 150D that I didn't even buy from you! But we have exhibitor passes, awarded by having a deposit on a hull slot, here looking at a sistership to finalize options list, and test sail on Tuesday.

Just FYI, we boarded a Leopard 38, Catana Bali, Nautitech 40, and Seawind 1160 Lite and 1260. All had friendly and knowledgeable sales people, and registration was pretty quick and painless. We talked with the Outremer 45 rep about specs and we're invited onboard, but it was out of our price range. Unless the test sail is a flop, we are buying a Seawind 1160 Lite.

Tomorrow am talking with electronics, air con, and some other equipment reps. Catching a seminar with my wife. And try to get some insurance contacts. If like today, it's amazing how fast the day will go.

There was supposed to be an 1190 there, but it didn't make the show...
