Nautitech 48 open - coming up

Hi All,
Just saw on youtube a brief tease by Nautitech on an imminent launch of the 48 Open. Any "insider" info around? ... and a question, why so little infos on Nautitech in this wonderful forum?

The 46 was not popular charter boat, There is a shared shower in each hull.
my guess is extra 2 feet to fix this.
To be a major builder you have to compete in charter market.

Regards
Paul

I know with the 44 open, Nautitech was specifically NOT chasing the charter markets. I will be curious if the 48 is aimed at the charter market or the private market.
I do believe that there is a market for owner sailed boat that are not of the "boutique" variety. a Nice 48 ft catamaran that isn't an Outremer might be a nice option

I believe Nautitech and Bavaria (their owner) are both avoiding the charter market at this point and make their builds for owner operator.

Re: Nautitech 48 open - coming up

I am looking forward to seeing more details on this boat. We liked the 44 but a few spaces were a bit small for our liking - mostly the salon seating/couches and owner side storage.

From what I understand there are several layout options, I am sure at least one of them would suit the charter market, but I don't think charter is their prime target. For us were not sure we want/ready for a full on performance cat but we don't want a dog either. This seems like a nice middle ground.

Our other options seem to be mostly from the well used market, over 15 years old - not what we are after. We own a boat that is just under 15 years old now - dealing with all its 15 year old issues is becoming less fun.
