Looks fantastic! Actually it looks extremely similar to the new Leopard 40, with the very squared/angular shape. I always hated those oval-shaped windows on FPs, I'm glad they are changing that!

If this is for real, I will likely put this boat on my short list.

Re: Anybody have info on a new FP 40' cat?

I opened a new thread here including renderings and pricing

This is definately not a Mahe: Base price 315k USD ex factory

So most will need to save a few years longer to get into an "entry level cat"

Re: New FP 40

Atlantic Cruising Yachts is the largest FP dealer in the world--Has complete (at this point confidential) information. Can be purchased in guaranteed, favorable euro based dollars, or directly in euros.

Sisterships to see in Annapolis. Call Eric Smith

Re: New FP 40

You can get the most updated information including a quote and complete pricing in euros or guaranteed dollars from Fountaine Pajot's #1 dealer in the world, Atlantic Cruising Yachts.

Full information on new models will be available to registered ACY clients from Eric Smith at ACY on June 3rd. 13 boats already sold. I sold the first one to a client which will be in the Miami show in Feb--the first U.S. showing. The boat will debut in Paris Dec. 2015--but, again, full information June 3rd.

Interesting video below of an owner of a Helia 44-a sophisticated knowledgeable owner, interviewed by Eric and explaining how and why he equipped his boat the way he did...

Re: New FP 40

Is it possible one of these is already afloat? I saw something very similar (the windows are quite memorable) last week in La Rochelle.

FP calls it a 40. The FP Lipari 41 for example is only 39.2ft.

Bigger number = more money

New FP 38

Must be a new way to make money. Give 2 feet less for more money. I hope customers read the specs

Mahe 36
Length, LOA 36’2”
Beam 19’4”

New FP38

Lipari 41
Length, LOA 39.2
Beam 22' 1"

Re: New FP 40

A bit bigger than a lagoon 380 and quite a bit more expensive than the 380,39 and 400 if those figures are accurate. It looks pretty nice on paper. A couple of points
The rear seat, maybe an ok idea, I don't know if it would get much use though
And the floor plans, it's a pity they don't do a 3 cabin, 2 head version. Maybe they will once they get into production but I would much rather have one larger port side head with separate shower space than 2 smaller heads there
The separate head in the owners cabin is an interesting idea, rather than having it in a larger et suite area. It seems to allow more cupboard storage space along the inboard side of the hull, so not a bad compromise.

New FP 38

It’s interesting that FP introduced this 38 footer (11.73 meter) boat a year before you can buy one.

FP must be feeling the competition for someplace to make such a dramatic move, so as not to lose sales to a competitor.

It’s going to be pricy in that $390,000 to $450,000 usd range

Maybe to replace the Lagoon 380 as it’s phased out of production.

Re: New FP 40

Im pretty sure this is the standard with FP and probably most builders. Pre orders prior to construction. The Helia was.
