New FP51 - Spiffy unconventional solar cells

I was looking at the new FP51 and I saw that they had a designer solar array approach that I hadn't seen before.

1600 watts. Obviously, I'd be interested in knowing how the protection diodes are implemented and how you replace individual cells but other than that, they get lotsa points for being sexy and utilizing space well.

Wow, that's cool! Necessitated by the Flybridge I'm guessing.

Aftermarket panels can do something similar. That looks like a rendering so it's hard to tell if the black parts are 100% PV or the edges are blended in with other black materials for aesthetics.

It's definitely rendered because they don't have a name for it yet. If they can produce it like the rendering it will be beautiful. The caveat is that since they aren't all hanging off the aft end of the coach roof, shade will cause havoc unless they liberally implement bypass diodes.
