My decision to purchase the Lagoon 57 was driven by many factors, she is a 3 cabin config with aftermarket daggerboards, she came with upgraded rigging and racing sails. The original owners wanted a fast weekender and must have had money to burn because she was equiped will all the latest gear, bells and whistles.

I have very much enjoyed living and sailing her, and while on many levels she will be missed I am getting excited about moving on to a new challenge.

That's a very nice story! Almost heartwarming
Good luck with building the new boat! I guess that'll take a while (6-12 months?) while the couple that bought your L57 might want to take possession now? Hence you'll be landlocked for a while I take it?

Awesome stuff. Going from one fantastic boat to an even more fantastic boat! I'm envious in a good way.

I have an immaculate L57 right next to me now, it's always been one of my favourites.

Yes I will be a land animal for the first time in many years and while I have had haulouts that lasted up to a month this will be very different.

Tonight I fly north and start my meetings regarding specifications for the new boat tomorrow. I will report on how that went next week.
