You sure it’s a Gunboat? I’m totally confused.

Re: Offer I could not refuse

Must have transferred the name SeaQuest OE from the Lagoon 57 to the new boat?

And dodged the waiting line to grab a used one - but which one?

Congratulations, by the way, buying a Gunboat is something many of us dream about.

I'm doubting it's a Gunboat. I think I know every Gunboat out there.

I would imagine you do. How's your rebuild going? I haven't been over to SA for a bit.

Great! Exterior fairing and printer wraps up this week. Interior is going well. Boatbuilding is basically done. Launch late May? Early June? I can't wait.

I discovered this thread because I'm thinking of buying a Lagoon 57. Quite a big difference between a Gunboat 57 and a Lagoon 57!

Soma, I recognize you too from SA. Perhaps you could tell us if they are using the same GB molds from the states for the new GB cats built in France? And what about the China molds?

Thanx

I’m not a rock star like you, but
I think with kids and cruising a lagoon 57 would be a good fit. Despite what they say, I doubt you’d notice that much of a difference without boards. More payload for toys. Simpler is cheaper, no dagger boards or lifting rudders.

I think the two boats are very different animals but then they had very different design briefs. I haven't sailed either but I'm sure they'd be fit for purpose.

Good to hear the rebuild is going well. It was quite a task from what I recall of the SA thread. Good luck finishing her off and getting to launch.
