On Edge Sailing ?

In the 40 years that I do some sailing, the times that it was deliberately on edge are to count on two hands.

When I saw this, I had to smile. Must be big fun .......

2011 RORC Caribbean: 600 Gunboat Phaedo - YouTube

enjoy

BTW Generally I dislike cats, not for they are cats but for the ugly caravan style design. This one is a wee bit different .......

Re: On Edge Sailing?

Sailing like that could knock the fizz out of a Gin Fizz. (Not a reference to Laura Dekker's boat, but rather the drink).

Re: On Edge Sailing?

amazing sailing indeed, but i am happy with my sailing caravan, it actually sails
and exhilirating so, the skill to trim/know your ship helps, wish i could afford a gunboat though to play with, cruising liveaboard my Catalac10m has grown on me

Re: On Edge Sailing?

Regarding the title On Edge Sailing of this thread:
I used to sail a Hobie 14 just for fun on a lake south of Cape Town. In a boring F2 with the wind on the beam I would sit on the lee hull, sheet in hard and wait for the windward hull to rise high and then scramble uphill and happily sail on one hull, the only boat really healing over in that wind. But it so happened that when I sailed passed a nice bikini-clad woman on another boat I would forget the wind and .... oops! Over she went.
I guess I still hold the record for not-much-wind capsizes on that lake!

But Phaedo looks good!
