Opinions on 2008 Fountaine Pajot Pajot Orana 44

How do they compare to Leopard 44? Thanks

On paper the FP is lighter, in reality can't see there would be much difference performance wise. What are your usage plans? The forward cockpit, maybe great for island hopping maybe not so good for ocean passaging

I certainly do want a boat that is very capable of blue water passages

If you plan on crossing oceans consider the following. Modern weather forecasting is very good but there will be occasions when you will get caught offshore. Laying to a para-anchor or fore reaching head to wind and seas would you really want a forward cockpit. JMHO

I had two Orana' and still have one. The first from 2008, the klatter from 2011. With the first one I sailed around 30.000 nm and did the Atlantic both ways. I sailed also with Leopard 44 in a shortwhile. Their performance are very close but considering as an overall I choose Orana.
