Phasing out of Sunsail/Moorings

My boat, a 2020 Leopard 454 with Sunsail is about to go through phase out (in September)
I wonder if others in the forum have some advice. Any good recomendations for good surveyor in st Lucia. How hard is to find one willing to wait for phase out process? I will need a dingy and motor either new or used as this isn't included in my contract with Sunsail. Where is the best place in this area to buy one? I'd like to be there at the end of phase out and survey to do a sea trial but don't know when that might be. Has anyone undergone phase out with Sunsail/Moorings with any advice?
Also, I'm considering putting it into secondary charter with Conch in BVI. Does anyone have any history with them or recomendations?
much thanks,
Jim

Did your boat survive the hurricane?

Hurricane Beryl had no effect on BVI. It did take out much of the northern islands of Grenada. My boat is fine and still in charter with Sunsail but about to go through phase out.

I know of 2 other charter operations in the BVI, and they seem to use boats in that age range: Captain's Compass, and Seabbatical Long Term Charters. Both on Tortola.

Dinghy & engine go to St Martin.. 89nm so not a long trip and worth it for any/all Chandlery needs you have.

I've heard the same regarding buying a dink and motor in st Martin or st Barts. Tax free and more available?

Re: Phasing out of Sunsail/Moorings

We chartered an older Lagoon through TMM https://sailtmm.com/ and found them pretty good to deal with from a customer point of view. We have heard not so great stories about other second tier operators, but no facts to back that up.
