Retrofitted wing keels, how and who could design them, whats the effort/costs

The episode with the Wynns on their HH44 where they explained their desicion for chosing the wing keel option
https://youtu.be/c-hiHbgVf7o?si=DdndPpnjXD-AU0ef
made me think you could quite easy retrofit these wing keels on a lot better sailing/more performance oriented cruising cat like eg my FP 40 Lavezzi to improve upwind performance.
The keels are sacrificial and even if not you can easily cut them off with eg a circular saw and laminate new wing keels on. Thats the easy part.
Or even just add the winglets but i assume the form, length and height of the keel and the winglets are a "working unit", if not or with smaller effect adding only the winglets that would even be even greater.

Big question is just how they need to be designed and who could do that, how much would that cost?
Do they need special hull forms or could they work as a standalone working unit like you could design them for one type like eg 38-42ft cat with 6-10t displacement?

Fabrication with foam core is then the easier part again.

Re: Retrofitted wing keels, how and who could design them, whats the effort/costs

On my Lavezzi we laminated the keels to the hull with up to 8x450 biaxial mats and also reinforced the keel mount and added a 2nd stringer. Already that made an impact as they are much stronger now.
Yes they were sacrificial but both boatbuilder and surveyor (who is a skilled naval architect) agreed that on Lavezzi you would rip out the keel mount with it if you try to get the keels out of there glued in keel mount and they most like break off lower down and damaging the keel mount with.
So its simply just a cheap way to build.
Aim here was to be more stable for beaching but the polar made by orca core since then shows 0.25kn more upwind performance and limit for upwind was 45 degrees and is now 40. Nothing changed on sails or rigging.
Adding winglets will made do the same to it...
